February stars

Ok so I'm back already, my hiatus didn't last very long but I figured maybe I should just post my outfit photos on here too. It can't hurt can it? If I'm keeping this blog running I can't really neglect it so here's some outfits over the weekend. As it was pay day I treated myself to a few things including a Zara coat that cost me £60 (originally £120) *smug face*. Also the new Nike trainers I bought for strictly exercising purposes, but chose them on purely on what they look like. The dress is a Motel number and I adore anything with moons on so it had to be ordered. I styled up the Asos shorts, but later decided to send them back.

New year, new blog

I've had this blog running since 2010 (say what) but never seem to have gotten into a proper routine or swing with it. I kind of have neglected it a lot. I just decided that starting a Tumblr style diary blog would be easier and more accessible. I guess I'm kind of lazy but taking a quick snap of an outfit in the mirror using my phone is a lot simpler for me. I enjoy sharing my life on the internet and capturing moments.Writing is most certainly not my forte however, and I find it difficult to find the energy to take proper outfit photos. Unfortunately I've never had a friend or boyfriend to be the designated outfit photographer. I still want to keep this blog, if the inspiration takes me I will post on here again. For now though I'll be on my newly named blog 'rock n clothes'. If you care to see what I'm wearing head on over there rockandclothes.tumblr.com.
For now though it's a see you later.
Peace & love.

Clothes Show Live 2013

Last week I was told that I'd won 2 free tickets to Clothes Show Live from 69 Degrees Magazine, and on Sunday me and my friend Charlotte headed to Birmingham for the day. I have always wanted to go to the Clothes Show but have never quite got around to it, when I first arrived it wasn't exactly what I expected but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Having a good wander around all the little pop-up shops was fun and the fashion show at the end was so much fun.

I treated myself to a couple of things in the make-up area. There really were some bargains to be had! I got some Model's Own nail varnishes that I have wanted to try forever and nabbed a free sample or They're Real mascara.

I've had a really spontaneous and eclectic (3 day) weekend, but I always think they're the best. It has consisted of a trip to Ikea, a pub gig, Wagamama's, some voluntary work, shopping and brunch at Ed's diner. This morning I went with my bro and cousin to a new American diner for pancakes and coffee. I adore the decor and the music was so good- our table had a jukebox with a lot of Elvis Presley on it. I wore my new band tee which is actually my first one! I currently have a bit of an Arctic Monkeys obsession and love the album artwork for AM. Today I am making the most of it being the 1st of December by wearing my Christmas jumper, making a wishlist for Santa and listening to some Christmas music

Strawberry Milkshake

Hat- Topshop,
Leggings- Bershka,
Boots- Miss Selfridge,
Coat- River Island

This year my hunt for the perfect coat has been ongoing and has been getting slightly ridiculous. The last winter coat I bought was 2 years ago and this year when I saw a pale pink double-breasted coat in Zara I fell in love. However it quickly sold out and I couldn't find it anywhere, the pink coats elsewhere just didn't match up. Luckily a few days ago I spied a similar coat in River Island and grabbed it while I could. I am still a bit undecided so photographed it (badly) to help me decide whether to keep or return. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Let me know!
